Badgers under the moon!

Fascinating article in this month’s BBC Wildlife magazine as David Dixon followed a family of badgers in his area and noticed their behaviour might be strongly linked to the lunar cycle.
Many other nocturnal animals such as rabbits and rodents tend to be less active around full moon as they are more likely to be found by predators. This in turn means predators such as the badger are also less active around this time. But from regularly studying these animals, David seems to have also found a link between the moon and badgers’ reproductive behaviour.
